Comprehensive report published on Social Impact Bonds

Social Finance, the world’s largest Social Impact Bond organization founded in England, has released a comprehensive report on its experiences with Social Impact Bonds to date.

In addition to providing an overview on the emergence and increased piloting of the Social Impact Bond approach in recent years, the report also includes a summary of major findings with regard to the structure, content, and reach of this still relatively new impact-oriented financial instrument for the social sector.

In its complex and (self-)critical discussion of the Social Impact Bond concept, the report offers good insight into the current status of developments as well as initial answers to the question of what potential this project approach actually has, and what must happen so that this potential can actually be achieved.

The report entitled “SOCIAL IMPACT BONDS: The Early Years” can be downloaded in English here.
